The additional peanut allergen component now available from Thermo Fisher Scientific will allow for greater confidence in testing and reporting peanut related allergens, as well as increased flexibility in the range of tests available
Ara h 6 has been identified as an important major peanut allergen. Studies suggest that storage protein Ara h 6 is needed to rule out severe peanut allergy. Peanut allergen component rAra h 6 will further increase the diagnostic value of the ImmunoCAP Peanut Allergen panel.
This additional component from Thermo Fisher Scientific complements the current ImmunoCAP Peanut Allergen panel which includes the following: Ara h 1, Ara h 2, Ara h 3, Ara h 8 PR-10 and Ara h 9 LTP, Ara h.
