Abacus ALS kicks off Walking for Wellness campaign

Abacus ALS has recently embarked on our Walking for Wellness campaign which is designed to encourage our staff to be more active and to raise money for the Paraplegic Benefit Fund.
For each kilometre that our staff walk from the 1st July until the end of the year, Abacus ALS will donate $1 to the Paraplegic Benefit Fund (PBF) – our charity of choice in Australia.
The PBF is a membership based charity supporting people with permanent spinal cord injuries. The money raised from this campaign will go directly into the PBF’s Gifting Fund – to help improve the life of someone facing the rest of their life in a wheelchair.
As part of our CSR program, Abacus ALS is committed to help raise awareness to reduce the incidence and impact of spinal cord injury – quadriplegia and paraplegia.
Recently all of our staff underwent training on how to prevent and avoid a spinal cord injury or related injuries.
